Obey Cat is a demonstration program for features of RCode Plus.
Supported AIBOs
- ERS-110/111 not applicable, not supported.
- ERS-210 supported.
- ERS-220 supported
- ERS-311/312/31L supported.
Required Hardware:
- An ERS-210 model AIBO OR
- An ERS-220 model AIBO OR
- An ERS-31x model AIBO (311 Latte, 312 Macaron or 31L Pug)
- A Pink Programmable Memory Stick (AKA "PMS" or RCode stick) - ERA-MS008 or ERA-MS016, $34->$39
- A memory stick reader to install the software (Use only Sony brand stick readers)
Installation:
- Put an available PMS stick into your computer's stick reader
- Select any folders you see at the root of the stick (usually OPEN-R and CUSTOM) and delete them. Do not format the stick.
- Download the proper RCodePlus runtime for the model of your AIBO.
- For the ERS-210: RCode Plus 2.52 'A' (210)
- For the ERS-220: RCode Plus 2.52 'A' (220)
- For the ERS-31x: RCode Plus 2.52 'A' (31x)
- (Save this .ZIP file on your computer. You may want to use it again later.)
- Unzip this RCodePlus file to the root of your PMS memory stick.
- Download the ObeyCat Personality: ObeyCat251.zip (.4MB)
- Unzip that file on top of your RCODE/PMS stick (replacing any files it asks about).
- Put the memory stick inside your AIBO and start it up.
- Play with your AIBO. Follow the instructions (see below).
Interacting with Obey Cat AIBO
Obey Cat will generally do little until directed.Obey Cat will react to different inputs:
- Wakeup and roar
- If it falls down, it will get back up (and then complain about his back)
- Will meow if it remains idle for too long (over 20 seconds)
- Will purr if you pet/praise it
- Will yowl if you hit/scold it
- Will cough up a fur ball if you press his neck
- Handle a number of voice commands (see below)
- When walking, it will handle a limited number of voice commands (see below)
- When walking, it will stop if it runs into something
- When it hears another AIBO, it will growl like a dog
- If you press its back, it will let you pick one of six dances
- If it hears the right kind of music, it will dance
- Handles ERS-11x Sound Controller commands
- Stand, Sit, Lie
- Game Mode move around (front, back, left, right etc)
- NEW: "Name Registration" - will record his name
- NEW: "What's your name" - will speak his name
- NEW: If it hears his registered name or "AIBO" - he will roar
- NEW: "Owner Registration" - will record your name
- NEW: "What's your owner's name" - will speak your name
- NEW: If he hears your name (the registered owner name) - he will meow
- NEW: "Let's Play", "Let's Talk" - cheesy mimic mode (his head will flash, talk to him, repeat -- he will stop after 10 tries)
- "Take A Picture" - will take a picture
- "Stand up", "Sit down", "Lie Down"
- "Go Forward", "Go Backward", "Turn Left", "Turn Right" - start walking (see below)
- "Come Here", "I'm here" (turns to the sound of your voice and walks)
- "Stop"
- "Dance" (one of six short dances)
- "Left leg kick", "Right leg kick" - Kick the ball (lame)
- Good Boy/Girl (purrs)
- Good Night (gets ready for bed/charger)
- When walking, it will handle a limited number of voice commands
- "Go Forward", "Go Backward", "Turn Left", "Turn Right", "Stop"
- "Go Forward" - and he will walk normally
- "Faster" - and he will walk fast
- "Slow Down" - and he will walk slow
- "Action one" - and he will walk "Bandy"
- "Action two" - and he will walk "Small Step"
- "Action three" - and he will walk "Bandy2"
- "Action four" - and he will walk "Bandy3"
- "Come Here, I'm here (turns to the sound of your voice and walks)
- "Take A Picture" will take an 'Upskirt' photo
- (ERS-31x only) Use the tail joystick to change the walking direction
