AIBO and Costello - multiple ERS-210 conversations (RCodePlus 2.50)

Overview

"AIBO and Costello" is an entertainment personality showing how two AIBOs can communicate in interesting ways.
Currently it supports several skits.

Part of the classic "Who's on First" routine by Abbott and Costello.
The argument sketch from Monty Python.
Selections from the Knights who say Ni.
Row Row Row your boat.

Supported AIBOs

- ERS-110/111 not supported
- ERS-210 supported.
- ERS-220 supported.
- ERS-311/312 supported (but sometimes the timing is off)

This personality requires two AIBOs and two PMS/RCODE memory sticks. Different software goes on each stick. One Aibo as the Master (Abbott) and the other as the Slave (Costello).

Installation:

Put an available PMS stick into your computer's stick reader
Select any folders you see at the root of the stick (usually OPEN-R and CUSTOM) and delete them. Do not format the stick.
Download the proper RCodePlus runtime for the model of your AIBO.
- For the ERS-210: RCode Plus 2.52 'A' (210)
- For the ERS-220: RCode Plus 2.52 'A' (220)
- For the ERS-31x: RCode Plus 2.52 'A' (31x)
- (Save this .ZIP file on your computer. You may want to use it again later.)
Unzip this RCodePlus file to the root of your PMS memory stick.
You must have one "master" AIBO. This will start the conversation.
Download TwoAibo03_Master.zip and unzip it to the first stick
Unzip that file on top of your RCODE/PMS stick (replacing any files it asks about).
You must have at least one "slave" AIBO. It will listen to the Master, and respond accordingly.
Download TwoAibo03_Slave.zip and unzip it to the second stick
Unzip that file on top of your RCODE/PMS stick (replacing any files it asks about).
Put the memory stick inside your AIBO and start it up.
Play with your AIBO. Follow the instructions (see below).

Repeat for the second AIBO. Be sure you install the correct RCodePlus version for the model of AIBO you plan to use (210, 220 or 31x)

Usage

Put the first stick in the master AIBO (call him Abbott).

Put the second stick in the slave AIBO (call him Costello).

Start up the two ERS-210 AIBOs. You should hear the "Pump it up" song (by another Costello).

Both AIBOs should eventually sit up.

Press the back of the Master AIBO. It will give you a preview of one of the four skits (Who's on first -> Argument -> Knights who say Ni -> Row Row Row your boat).

When you find the skit you want, press the head of the Master AIBO.

Sit back and listen

When the skit is over, both AIBOs will sit up again. You can select another skit from the Master AIBO.

Performance Tips

If you have three or more AIBOs, you will have one Master AIBO, and two or more Slave AIBOs. Install the Slave software on all slaves. Once they are running and sitting up, press the back on the second slave once. This will make him delay his performance a little to give more meaningful performances for the Row-Row-Row-your-Boat song.

Master AIBO should be to your left (ie. stage left) of the Slave AIBO.
