Patches - we don't need no stinkin' patches

Patches let you modify some of the features of AiboWare personalities. Version Upgrades are officially released upgrades.

Installation:

Download the appropriate .ZIP file for the stick you own
Unzip to the root of the proper memory stick
It will replace one or more files (if WinZip doesn't warn you about replacing files, you have the wrong stick or installed in the wrong place)
Use your AIBO as you would normally
If you want to go back to standard features, use the "Undo" patch

Be sure you install the proper patch to the proper memory stick.
Any language stick should work ok (as long as the "Stick #" matches).
The stick number must match exactly (ignoring the final "E" or "J" letter).

Patch descriptions

Elephant mode patch: turns off AIBO's "forgetting" mechanism. When you praise/scold him, he will never forget what you teach him (until he evolves to a new level). Things and points learned will go up significantly.

No Melody patch: disables the "Aibo Melody" feature for the ERS-31x series.

Freeze Evolution patch: will freeze your AIBO at the current stage (ie. he won't evolve or adjust his personality). He will still learn by praise and scolding.

Undo: will undo the previous patches (restore original files). Undo does not undo major patches (like the motion training fix, or the Xmas patch)

The Xmas patch will add additional songs and dances to your "Aibo Pal SE" to it perform more like the Japanese "Energetic AIBO". Voice commands remain in English.

NOTE: the Motion Training fix is an official version upgrade. The Xmas patch is just data from the Japanese edition (both from Sony, repackaged by me).
